What is the Match.com iPad application and why should I use it?
With the new Match.com iPad application, now you can access your favorite Match.com features on your iPad (some features may not be available yet). You can search for matches in your area, wink at them and communicate with them (requires a paid subscription). You can also view your matches, your Favorites and everyone who's viewed your profile. You'll be notified immediately when other members communicate with you.
What do I need in order to start using the Match.com iPad application?
You just need an Apple iPad with software version 3.2 or above. Previous generations of the iPad or iPod touch will also work, but the location features may not work as well due to the limitations of the older generation iPad devices. You may also use previous generations of iPod touch devices as long as you have installed the necessary software updates from Apple (Apple may charge you for these updates). If you have one of the devices mentioned above, you can download the Match.com iPad application and start using it right away. Network access via your cellular phone provider's data network or WiFi Internet access is necessary for using the application. Additionally, you need to ensure that you have enough memory on your device to download and use the application.
I'm not in the United States or Canada; can I still use the application?
Unfortunately, no. The Match.com iPad application is only available for use in the U.S. and Canada. But we are working to extend the application to other countries in the near future.
How do I download the application?
The Match.com iPad application is available as a downloadable application from the Apple App Store. You have multiple options:
Downloading directly to your iPad: You may download the application directly on to your iPad. In order to do this, tap the 'App Store' icon on your iPad, followed by the 'Search' icon and type in 'Match.com' then tap 'Search.' Once you locate the application, tap it once and then tap the 'FREE' button, which will change into an 'INSTALL' button. Just tap this to install the application.

Downloading to your computer: You may download the application to your desktop or laptop computer. In order to do this, you must have the Apple iTunes software installed on your computer. If you download your application via this option, you will need to sync your iPad with your computer in order for the application to be transferred to your phone. How do I download the application?

I don't have an iPad. What are my options?
No worries. You may still use your existing cellular phone to access Match.com via the matchMobile service. Please note that, in order to use matchMobile, you will need a data plan in place with your cellular phone provider that will allow you to access the Internet on your phone. Please refer to the matchMobile FAQ for more information.
How much does it cost to use the Match.com iPad application?
The Match.com iPad application is free to download and use. Most features, including the ability to wink at and search for other members, do not require a paid subscription. However, in order to communicate with other Match.com members as well as see who's viewed your profile, we require you to have a paid subscription.
I don't have a Match.com subscription. What will it cost me to use the Match.com iPad application?
The Match.com iPad application is free to download and use. However, features that allow you to communicate with other Match.com members require a paid Match.com subscription.
I have a base Match.com subscription. Will I need to pay extra to use the Match.com iPad application?
No, matchMobile is now free under any of the 1, 3 or 6 month Match.com subscription packages.
I installed the application on my iPad. What do I do next?
If you have previously registered with Match.com or are a current subscriber to Match.com, you may use your existing username and password to log in to the Match.com iPad application. If you are new to Match.com, you will need to register and create a new account. Once your account has been created, just log in via the Match.com iPad application.
How does the photo upload feature work?
You can upload pictures of yourself in your iPad photos gallery. Tap 'My Profile' and click on your current profile picture. Our Customer Care department will process your picture to ensure compliance with our terms of use. And voila! You have new photos on your profile.
How does the location-search feature work?
The location-search feature uses the GPS on your iPad to determine your location. Your exact position will never be revealed to other Match.com members. The feature uses your location to deliver matches to you that are in your immediate vicinity.
Is privacy a concern with the location-search feature?
Match.com is committed to protecting your privacy. Your exact position will not be disclosed to other Match.com members. Additionally, you may turn off location-based searching by turning off the Location feature on your iPad when using the Match.com application. Please review the terms of Match.com privacy policy for further information.
