I am a conscious and reflective individual who strives to appreciate what I have in life, whether it be an experience, a loved one, a personal quality, or simply the gift of life. I enjoy witty, thoughtful and inquisitive conversations, especially those that challenge my established views and expand my knowledge. For leisure, I enjoy watching football, playing sports, and sometimes revert to playful childhood tendencies such as playing on the monkey bars or cracking a bad joke. Most people appreciate my sense of humor, because I tend to point out the absurdities in everyday life. Even in hardship I find humor. I enjoy helping others in need both at work and in my spare time through my church or, previously, at a children's hospital. Health to me is not only eating well and exercising, but also making time to take care of my spiritual and emotional well-being.
I am drawn to intelligent, renaissance men who have the emotional maturity to behave and think independently and whose moral compass is guided by honesty, respect, compassion, love, and understanding. Someone who is reliable and has the character to not only cope with adversity, but to do what is right under such circumstances; communication and compromise are key. Chivalry and courtship (opening the door, phone calls over texts and e-mails, flowers, love letters, pleasant surprises, etc.) cannot be underrated in their capacity to build romance and trust, which are important precursors to a loving, rewarding, and enduring relationship.
Laughter and exercise are an indispensable, personal basic need. Therefore, a sense of humor and love for sports and the outdoors are a must! Also, if you can dance and appreciate various genres of music and art, this is definitely a plus! I've been practicing art and dance since the age of seven and three, respectively.
Importantly, I hope to meet someone who has defined for themselves the legacy they want leave in their lifetime, whether it be to those they serve or their family. They should have a general sense of their purpose in life and an understanding of why they have chosen their designated paths.
