How would I describe myself? I'm a product of the modern age: curious, confident and ambitious. I spent half of my life living abroad, and that has taught me to be adaptable to different situations.
I love NPR, spicy food, books (fiction or nonficton), great music (preferably live), dive bars, soccer (playing and watching), museums, rainy weather, Chicago summer, Scotch, Photography...Aside from my hobbies, I also love my job. I consider myself pretty lucky.
I've been living in Chicago for more than half of my life now, so I consider Chicago to be my hometown. I love the life I've built here, but that hasn't hampered my travel bug. I feel like I can really get to know myself when I'm on the road in an exotic part of the world. I like to seek out an adventure in a strange land. I love backpacking through countries and terrains so foreign to me that I come back home a slightly changed man every time.
First and foremost, I'm looking for someone who is a kind person with a generous heart. Ideally, that someone should also be complex and exciting, someone who can soothe my restlessness when necessary, but also join me on my adventures whenever possible. In other words, someone who can chill out with me on the couch reading a book, but also a great traveling companion.
