I've now been back in Indy for over three years after spending eight years in Chicago after college. Call me crazy, but I've liked it here.
I think that the two most important requirements for a relationship partner are that the person is someone you can have fun with and experience great happiness around during the best times that life has to offer, but the person will also be able to provide emotional support during life's most trying times.
I think it's absolutely necessary that relationship partners enjoy some of the same activities but even more important that they're up for (and even excited about) trying something new that they normally wouldn't do. I suppose there are limits, however, as I am unlikely to participate in a Meg RyanBette Midler Movie Marathon anytime soon, and I think I would coincidentally get sick on the night of any Ke$ha concerts. (just kidding, I love Ke$ha).
Let's be honest- two people need to feel sure of their mutual attraction. I doubt that any of you are looking at a guy's profile and thinking "He is one ugly dude, but I LOVE his favorite book so I'm going to e-mail him!" Unfortunately, it doesn't work that way, as physical chemistry is absolutely vital to relationship chemistry for all of us. So mutual attraction is indispensable. I guess that means you shouldn't wink at me if you think I need to give Meg Ryan's plastic surgeon a call.
A few more words about me, since I still have 2800 remaining characters to play with. Depending on how you know me, you probably either think that I'm: (1) serious, professional, and reserved; or (2) funny, moronic, and outgoing. I guess I'm a little bit of both, and the different sides come out depending on the situation. As a kid, my favorite movie was Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (I was a film connoisseur even at a young age), my favorite band was Inxs, and my first purchased album was George Michael, Faith. I remember thinking at the time that George Michael was the ultimate lady's man. Oops.
Exercise is important to me, whether it's running outside, going to the gym, or playing sports. I'd love to have a workout partner, although if she can bench more than I can I'm not sure if that would necessarily be a turn-on even though it would be reassuring to know that my significant other could save me if I'm trapped under a burning car.
If my stream of consciousness strikes you as appealing, I'd love to hear from you. If not, then I congratulate you on your sophisticated taste.
