My mantra for the year continues to be to keep an open mind to the endless possibilities that lie ahead. Life is precious and should be treated as such. Keeping this in mind, as well as my friends' recommendations, I'm on this site exploring some of those possibilities.
I was born and raised in sunny Los Angeles, and with the exception of college (UC Berkeley), I have lived here my whole life. Despite LA's imperfections, it's always been home. I attribute this to the strong relationship I share with my family. I'm fortunate to have two loving parents who have been married 36 years. They have served as role models my whole life and have always led through example.
My passions include: Traveling - Studying abroad in college ignited a fire that has only continued to burn brighter. Since my initial trip to Spain my junior year, I have been to over 20 countries. Many destinations remain on my radar. Exercise - I enjoy being active and attribute the gym to assisting me in keeping my mental sanity. There's nothing better than getting a good sweat in gym while listening to some great music. I find exercise extremely cathartic and need a very frequent dose of it. Eating - I enjoy eating out occasionally and am always open to trying a variety of ethnic foods. If pressed for a favorite, I'd probably have to go with Thai, but it'd be a tough call. Netflix - I don't consider myself a TV junkie, however, despite that being said, I am a big fan of the series Homeland as well as the Walking Dead. And let's not forget Breaking Bad. Awesome!
Personality wise, I'm an easy going individual who loves to laugh and smile. I am close to my family, who raised me with high morals and values, and they continue to play an important and special role in my life. I consider myself to be caring and sensitive. My friends tell me I'm a good listener and feel comfortable coming to me when they need an ear to listen.
I'm looking for someone with similar interests who is secure with themselves. It's very important that they are physically fit, lead an active and healthy lifestyle. I'd like to meet someone who knows what she wants, is honest, sincere, caring, understanding, and capable of effectively communicating. I'm aware that the qualities listed are fairly generic, but I truly value such characteristics and hold myself to those same standards. If you think we have some things in common, I'd love to chat.
