I am a 36 year old single father of two, whom I share custody of and have at home part time. I also have two kitties who keep me company when I'm not with the children.
I am a college professor with one Master's Degree and am nearly finished with my second. I have red hair, fair skin, and blue eyes. I am a free-spirit, and the normal canned descriptions often found on sites like these do not apply to me. I have several tattoos to signify important events in my life and/or things I am passionate about, and plan to get more. I take great pride in my individuality, and would love to find someone who can appreciate that.
I am VERY ambitious and driven. I've got that old Midwestern work ethic, and feel as though I must be doing something at all times. I have many, many things on "the back burner" that I intend to get to, but who knows if I ever will simply because of the sheer volume of the projects and the time that would be required to effectively tackle them. I am currently preparing for my MFA thesis film, as well as coordinating several children's books I've had in my brain for far too long.
I am shy at first, but then can't seem to shut up after I warm up to somebody. So our first date very well may be me smiling but saying close to nothing (the the point that you might not think I'm interested in the slightest, which of course wouldn't be the case), or I might over-compensate for my nerves by being a horrible chatterbox and not letting you get a word in. It should be interesting either way!
Other random factoids about me:
Having grown up in Green Bay prior to heading of to the West Coast, I am a huge Packers fan. I mean, I BLEED green and gold.
I very much enjoy checking out thrift stores without any particular item in mind. You never know what treasures you may discover amidst all the junk.
I do not own a TV, and really don't miss it.
I try my best to adhere to the practice where if something comes into my home (whether that be clothing, decor, etc), something must go out to offset it. I'm certainly not a minimalist, but there's something about clutter and unused things that bother me.
