I'm a medical school student who is relatively new to the Chicago area. I enjoy looking for hidden, local hot spots around the city.
I'm fairly laid-back and I love to laugh. In fact, it's not hard to make me laugh because I tend to look for the humor in almost everything (except funerals).
I'm a navy brat so I have no real roots but I claim to be from Minnesota because that's where we moved after my dad retired.
I'm kind of a music nut. I was in a band in high school and in another in college - I'm a drummer. My best friend, who is a guy FYI, taught me a few chords on the guitar but I don't know enough to be able to say I play the guitar. I like indie/alternative music mixed with a little emo/punk. Surprisingly, I also like classical music as well. I'm in love with the violin and cello.
I want to start geocaching. I've never done it before but we'll see how it goes. Pretty much anything outdoorsy is cool with me. I like fishing with my dad (haha), hiking, skydiving, camping, and I just started rock-climbing. Oh, and I just started a crossfit program. It's awesome!
When I'm not hitting the books I can usually be found: crashed out on my bed; hitting the gym; watching old movies; or making an attempt at becoming a novelist.
I have a strange obsession with Peter Pan and I adore the color orange. I think that might be all the random facts that I can think of right now. If you have any questions hit me up! :-)
Oh, I almost forgot a very crucial point....I went to Duke for undergrad so if you happen to be a UNC fan we might have a problem..JK.
I am looking for:
The kind of guy who wears red when everyone else is wearing white. I like guys who are more outgoing and spontaneous because it tends to balance out my reserved side and makes me more adventurous. I think ambition and drive is fairly important because I've got a lot of that as well. Also, someone who is close to his family and just views family, in general, as one of the most important aspects of his life.
