Best describe myself as caring, generous, honest, direct, loyal, fun, smart, can be way too hard on myself in terms of achievement but not competitive with others, close to family and have some great friends... Unfortunately some of them are spread out around the world so try to keep in touch and meet up for vacations, and this brings me to my love for traveling! I spent some quality years in my childhood in Africa and got stuck with a major case of the travel bug. Chose a career that leaves the opportunity open to move overseas at some point. Usually drawn to the more exotic, sunny locations like Thailand, Costa Rica, Baja (where I swam with the sea lions and drifted by gray and humpback whales - amazing!), of course Africa, and really want to go to South America and learn Spanish, but recently discovered the Southwest! Moab is a great place to hike and just to be awed by your surroundings! Plus took up snowboarding a couple years ago which has given me some appreciation of the winters in the PNW. Hoping to get some quality time on the mtns this winter. Would love to meet someone who shares this interest!
I must admit that while I love the outdoors, hiking, camping, snowboarding, etc. it can be tough to self-motivate and plan. So someone to rally me to get my butt out of bed in the morning is plus. Some other ideal assets are someone who can make me laugh, challenge me to do and see new things, is generous and caring, not afraid to show affection, likes to cook would be a bonus, and hopefully enjoys travel and adventure. I've dated lots of different types of people and in the end it really does come down to that spark between two people and it seems to work out when both are open about their needs, you share some common interests, and have similar desires out of life.
