Hi. I'm a New Yorker and moved to California to attend/finish school. I'm a recent graduate and in the process of figuring out what to do with all my interests! I've never thought of putting myself out there or ever considered the idea of meeting a complete stranger, but as I get older I find it more difficult finding a suitable partner. I've never been the type to have flings; I'm a one-man woman and will commit to someone who I might potentially share my life with.
I love dogs (especially American Pitbull Terriers), love animals (especially orangutans and penguins) and am a humanitarian. I enjoy donating to organizations that contribute to animal welfare/rights, wildlife conservation and environmental protection. I try to volunteer if given the opportunity, whether it be at a humane society or homeless shelter. Some day I wish to travel with the WWF, specifically to Borneo, Africa or Antarctica.
I enjoy spending quality time with close friends and family, and would rather stay at home than go out to a party, although, I'll be open to the idea. I try to avoid crowded places as I like my space, so I'm not much of a concert or club goer. I love nature and love to explore, and would like to travel to different places (and collect souvenirs); but I'm also content with where I am so it's fine if I never get that chance. If I go out shopping, which I rarely do, you'll catch me at HomeGoods (I love interior decorating), or at Petco buying toys for my dogs. I also have a thing for the U.S. military and love watching movies about them. I'm very organized and clean, prefer to dress comfortably and casually (but I'll dress nice when going out), don't like to wear too much makeup, am ladylike but also a tomboy. Overall, I'm a pretty simple person and food makes me happy :)
I'm looking for someone who's not much of a party goer or heavy drinker (I'm not a drinker or smoker, so would prefer it if my man wasn't either; but I wouldn't mind if he has a drink once in a while as long as he keeps his composure and drinks responsibly). I'd like someone who doesn't have a temper, is affectionate and supportive, understanding, loyal, family oriented, clean, fun, loves animals and kids, enjoys going out once in a while but loves the comfort of his home, and can definitely make me laugh.
It sounds like I'm pretty specific about my ideal guy, but I'm also open-minded and will compromise. Communication is key!
