Now that I have lived the single life again and understand more about myself and what I am looking for, thought I'd give this a try. I'm looking for a fun, whitty, sweet, kind of old fashioned "stand by your man" type of woman who enjoys going out, can be independent and has friends/family she enjoys and in return give me those opportunities as well with mine. Another part of that is enjoying spending time with each other's friends and family too as a couple. Always good to enjoy date nights and quiet nights in too. Most importanly I look forward to having that bond/relationship where you can look at each other and "just know". I think friendship, trust, communication, and faith go a long way in building that type of strong relationship. I think most of us on here have experienced the ups and downs of building a life with someone, hopefully learned from the mistakes as well as the success, and can take that into the next one and make it something great.
The "stand by your man" aspect comes from the way I make a living, not everyone understands what it takes to be self employed and the roller coaster that can be, so I need someone to respect it, and let me do what I do. I also have a little boy who is my pride and joy, and makes him and I a package deal if a relationship progresses. I feel the same for someone I am interested in as well who may have kids. Luckily he has a good mom too, and we share custidy so I have some indendence as well to find out if there is something there before bringing kids into the situation.
For me, I am very laid back, fun, enjoy a good time, making people laugh, and overall I am nice guy who always has a smile. I can take care of the household chores, cook, and I take pride in having a nice yard and a clean welcoming home. With how I make my living, it makes me very self driven and independent at times. I love what I do and it enables me to have the freedom to enjoy the important things in life like family and friends. It also gives me time for my hobbies which include golfing, traveling, and playing music.
I am hoping to find someone to connect with and feel that spark. I know who I am looking for, just haven't met her yet.
