I am originally from the Midwest...so I have good Midwest values. After grad school I was recruited by a company and moved to the east coast.
My humor is best described as quick and witty comments to a conversation or event or a bit of sarcasm. Maybe one day I will learn to keep some of those comments I am thinking to myself, but often they are just too funny to be contained.
I enjoy and appreciate new challenges and adventures. I am very spontaneous and have no problem winging it when on a road trip or traveling. I have done a lot of domestic and international traveling but everyone talks about that so I won't. I believe the world is too interesting not to explore.
If there is something outdoorsy or active then I am there having a good time. Even though everyone says it, I actually mean it. Boating, fishing, hiking, camping....I prefer to do any of the above on the weekend and being outdoors is where I truly feel connected with living. One item on my bucket list is to own a sailboat and just go south exploring the world. First I need to get rich, second I have to learn how to sail at that level, third I need to find someone to go along with me to enjoy the adventure.
I have always enjoyed working out and staying in shape, I make sure I get in a workout every morning before starting the day. I also enjoy cooking, especially ethnic foods. I typically merge two or three ideas together and can't follow a recipe to save my life; which is why I can't bake.
I must say that I don't believe you can truly capture who someone is from an online description. I prefer interacting with people in person and am generally very outgoing and friendly. I really enjoy in depth intellectual discussions with people. I believe everyone is interesting and has life experiences or perspectives that I can learn from.
I am looking for someone who enjoys being active and athletic, are goal oriented and could be that person who I can have lengthy intelligent discussions about whatever with. I find I am attracted to women with qualities and strengths I respect and admire; whether it is your athletic ability, intelligence, internal strength or compassion. O.K. kinda cheesy but true!
If you prefer to socialize in person and are stretching your comfort zone by trying the online thing then we might just get along.
