In August 2011 I was reassigned to Buckley AFB, CO, and will probably be here for three to four years. While I've not historically been a huge outdoorsy type, I am looking to get out, try new things, and see all that Colorado has to offer. A lot of activities are safer with a buddy, and usually someone who has at least some experience, so I'm looking for someone willing to show me the ropes. I'm a novice hiker, as I don't actually own hiking boots, but am willing to invest in a pair. I love taking pictures, and can get engrossed in the subject whether it be a vast landscape or a tiny spider, so I'd liked to find some good places in the area for photography.
My ideal companion would be considerate and affectionate, but not smothering. Everyone needs their own space at times. I have no problem splitting checks or taking turns paying for things, but I also like it when a man opens doors for me. Honesty and open communication is essential. Also, a willingness to relocate if things go well would be nice as I have no idea where the Air Force will send me next. Primarily, right now I'm just looking to meet some new people, have some fun, explore Colorado, and we can see what happens from there.
Some deal breakers: if you don't like, or are allergic to, cats (I have 1); if you are extremely religious and looking for someone who shares your religion; if you have your heart set on having kids.
