If there is one thing that I've learned in my recent years, that has had the most impact on my life, it’s that at the end of this life, the only thing we can do is look on our past life experiences happily or with regret. It is then, however, entirely up to us which outlook we choose when that time comes. Everyday we have to make that choice to live in the moment, or live in the doldrums of the unfulfilling dregs of life. I choose to live in the moment. Some of my friends might consider me a traditionalist, one that is habitual and maybe even a bit OCD about things maintaining proper order in life. But my epiphany throws all that to the wind. Every option I get to do something different, I’m saying “Yes!” I’m looking forward to experiencing many awesome things in life, but more importantly, I’m searching for some great people to experience them with. I’m not sure what I’m looking for in this Match.com experience other than meeting up with some great people that are looking for an adventure, just like me. No expectations. No rules. Just letting life lead the way. (Anyone want to go skydiving?) I eventually hope to find my match, someone that I could consider a lifetime partner, but I also know that this doesn't happen until you least expect it. So, until I’m surprised, I’m determined to fill my life with success and adventure, and with good friends. I’m successful and a little too absorbed in my career, which has limited my interaction with anyone outside of my work and friends circle. Outside of working 40-60 hours a week, I like to stay active, taking my dog for runs or to the park, playing any type of sport (I’d love to get back into Ultimate Frisbee), enjoying happy hour with friends, playing pool at the billiards, or relaxing at home with a good movie or TV show. I enjoy pretty much anything, as long as there are great people to enjoy it with. My friends would say I’m pretty sarcastic and fun, but I know how to tone it down when necessary. I’m looking for someone that isn’t so uptight that I can’t joke with them; a sense of humor is a must. I also like to debate...on any topic really. If you are the type of person that likes to be right all the time, then we’ll have fun. I hope you can hold your ground with my playful debating. Outside of the sarcasm and debating, however, I do thoroughly enjoy conversation and anything with a stimulating context I’ll find rewarding. Knowledge is power, and I’m always looking to expand that as much as possible. I feel like I’m supposed to sell myself here, and I don’t really like that. I've been in sales for pretty much my whole career, and it feels wrong to have to put yourself out there in a situation where you need to sell “you” if it isn't for a transaction. So with that, I’m going to go with the “less is more” approach and say that what you’ll get in person will be much better than anything I can put on paper. If you want to know anything, ask. Otherwise, I feel the best way to get to know someone is in a face to face conversation. I say when you want to know more, let’s meet for coffee.
