Sunny by nature, I would describe myself as supportive, engaging and fun. (Yes, fun. It's important, too.) As a friend said once, it comes down to chemistry and character. And an appreciation for family, in my book, at least.
I grew up in the Bay Area and have had the same group of friends since grammar school. (Side note: The downside to lifelong friends is it's hard to get away with too much.) I adore my quick-to-laugh, mafia-sized family; my parents immigrated from Ireland so I hold dual citizenship and I'm very close to my 30 plus cousins. My brother and sister live in the city and I see them there every week. We are a tight brood who have each other's backs.
I am approachable and friendly, which is probably why people come up and chat to me often - grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. Sometimes, I think it would be easier if I just wore a t-shirt that says, "Tell me everything" on it because that's what happens. I guess I'm empathetic and happy and it comes across.
As the only girl on a boys soccer team while I was in grammar school, I learned how to take hits, quickly get up again and not make a big deal out of non-deals. Today, I am on the girlie side and appreciate a manly, stand-up type of guy. I used to be a reporter in Washington, DC, a town I love and visit often, and now work in corporate writing. Lived in Dublin (Ireland) and spent a lot of time in London so appreciate some European sensibility.
Lastly, I'm a warm-hearted romantic who must be unphotogenic as dates remark that I look much better in person. Guess it's better than the other way around. Also, I like a bit of style and feminine flair. Thanks for taking the time to read and hope your day has treated you well thus far. Best of luck finding your super girl.
