ABOUT MY MATCH
Hi. Well, to start… I do know what I'm looking for. It might take time, but I’m not in a rush. I'd love a chance to connect with an attractive person (more than just the physical but not less). I want her to have depth when it comes to her personal sense of self (her demeanor). I should qualify that by saying I’m 5’5, slim, and while I see myself as handsome I do think *mutual* attraction/chemistry plays a factor in all this. It’s a given, so my feelings won’t be hurt if you take one look and go, he’s not for me. I do it too (my quick, “No thanks”). It’s only fair.
But don’t get me wrong, I’ve turned my head for girls just because of their character. Showing discretion is attractive. It comes across and that type of person will always have my respect because it’s so rare. When a woman carries herself well with the men (and women) in her life it says a lot to me.
ABOUT ME
I’ll be the first to admit I’m not a social butterfly. Some guys are (and that’s cool) but even with new friendships I’d rather connect before being comfortable with the rest.
I enjoy laughing with the people I’m around. My humor’s dry and sarcastic but only to a point. There is a line: if you're mean to someone, that's not cool. With my friends the line’s pretty far out there. We’ll turn the filter off occasionally.
MY FAMILY
My mom, my sister and her kids, and my son make up my family here in North Texas. My son’s a neat kid. (I have him with me every other weekend and a couple weeks during summer.) As for the women in my life and my nieces/nephews – just have to wait and see. They’re pretty awesome though :) I have a great relationship with my family and it’s one of those things in my life I’m truly grateful for.
THE REST
I’ve worked really hard over the past few years to get where I’m at. And I’m in a good place. I’m where I need to be to make a transition in the long-term (Director maybe). Long story short, I gather requirements and design software. I hold regular lead positions so not a whole lot of down time when I’m in the office, but I make the most of it with co-workers for sure. My official title is BA but I'm actually more of a Product Manager. I report to our Director, and his direct report is the EXEC team.
I work hard and sometimes long hours, so I'm always up for new ways to decompress. Like joining Match ;) I dunno… (it’s getting late). If you want to dress to the nines and find what’s new – I’m up for it. Want to experience something on a whim? No questions. Let’s go. :) …but I wouldn’t turn down a night close to home. Netflix on the couch, Arby’s, pick-up/delivery, things like that...
EXTRAS
- Not a DIY home renovation guy – but I’m a Google expert so I can do anything
- I create lists but have a hard time organizing them in one place. I have lists everywhere. What a beat down.
- I can cook; my menu is about a page long, large font, double-spaced…
- Doctor appointments, dealership visits, insurance claims – basically anything that’s outside a normal interval – I struggle to fit that stuff in
- Rap music is a guilty pleasure for some people…
- When I set the microwave I try to see what I can get done before it beeps
- I like apostrophes. It’s a habit. I wouldn’t’ve said anything but not everyone’ll appreciate it. Thank’s.
