First, yes, the pictures are recent, promise!
The crib notes on me: I was born and raised in Chicago and have been in California since right after college. I love music, reading stacks of books at a time, being physically active, exploring this amazing city, and traveling. As in, I don't just say I love to travel, I get up and do it any time I can, whether it's a big international trip or a getaway to a weird city I just haven't seen yet. I have been accused of many things (singing in the car and overcaffeinating come to mind)... but being boring is not one of them. And like everyone else making bank for this site, I'm looking for a great partner in crime.
Everything with me just depends on the company and my mood (not to be confused with moody, which lucky for you, I'm not!). I can lead my team to victory on a bar crawl or I can disappear for two days to just relax with a really good book (or many). I think it's important to try not take things too seriously, and I'm usually the one who will try to find the silver lining in a lame situation. I am outgoing and driven, and I work very hard, but I balance it with a great social life and close relationships with my family and friends. I'm no slouch in the intelligence department, but I know how to put my work and drive aside and just have a good time. I'm the girl who will throw an 80's Prom party, set up a road trip, sign everyone up for a charity run, etc. I'm sneaky like that.
So why am I on here if I'm so social? I wanted to throw this into the mix as a way to meet people I wouldn't come across in my daily life. Or in case I missed you somewhere when I was walking out and you were walking in. For someone who believes to some extent in fate, I figured I'd help fate along.

The guy I'm vaguely looking for:
You make people laugh, not because you try hard, but because you're off-the-cuff witty. You consider yourself above-average smart (I'm a sucker for a smart guy). You've got good manners and good stories, and you appreciate friends and family. You're ambitious but have a long-term vision of your life that goes beyond your bank account to your karma account and family life. You're spontaneous and will cast a decisive vote when we're debating heading off to Vegas on short notice just because we feel like it. Whatever interests you, you're passionate about it - with the kind of contagious energy that could make me care about what you love but I know nothing about, say golf or home repair or hedge funds or whatever. You're active and fit (but not obsessive). You're the person I can waste time with and it doesn't feel like wasted time. You want to do the coffee-and-NYT Sunday morning gig. You want to have your girl's back and she'll have yours.
A guy who is ready to have some new adventures and just needs the right wingwoman. If you're that guy, I'd love to meet you.
