I'm a south Louisiana girl at heart but I've decided to move closer to my family in Houston.
My friends would describe me as sweet, genuine, always happy and smiling and have a huge heart. I love to give to the person I'm with and am very generous. I'm fun and can just go with the flow! I'm extremely humble and thank God every day for allowing me to have a wonderful supportive family, a great job and great friends. Tired of bars and realize I'm not going to meet the person of my dreams there. I'm not into playing games. I dont date multiple people at a time. I'm really ready to meet that special person to build a relationship with. I DO have close friends, but we all have our own lives too. They are in the dating scene or have families of their own. We don't go "out" much but more intimate catch up or girl things :)
I enjoy a variety of things and am very open to other people's interests and hobbies.I enjoy our warm weather and like to be outside when its not scorching hot! Walking the dogs is always relaxing. Love the water in the summer, pool or beach and they do too!
I'm not high maintenance and not into drama. Basically what you see is what you get when you meet me. I'm a pretty laid back person and don't have to be in go mode all the time. I can handle myself in pretty much any situation. I have a house in the Heights and love this area. Its so close to everything. I have a job where i get up very early and dont stay up too late, which kinda puts a damper on late weeknights. I do get off early as a trade off.
I like to be sarcastic and can take it as well as give it out! Love to smile and laugh, including at myself! I absolutely love to people watch. This earth is made up of so many different individuals and I love to watch and learn. Im not perfect and don't expect that from anyone either. All i can ask is that you leave the baggage behind and be ready to start over. I don't care if we talk about our past, after all, it is a part of who we are. We've all had ups and downs in life and I'm not afraid to share....and I don't consider that drama!
Live for the present, don't regret any decision or path I've chosen. They are all a learning opportunity and what makes up this crazy thing called life!!! You've gotta learn from your mistakes and pick yourself up and dust yourself off when life knocks you down.
I've learned that I don't mesh well with "ADD" types! I don't have to be constantly on the move or entertained and I CAN lay down on the couch or wherever and have some quiet lazy time! I enjoy sleeping late on the weekends since I get up so early for work. Naps are great too. I'm pretty much the exact opposite of hyper! Lol.
Im not trying to win the popularity contest here, just trying to be the best person possible. Hopefully positively impact some lives as I journey along. That's what is most important to me.
I may not be the prettiest, but not the ugliest either...i'm just me....and i'm normal! Lol. Not pretentious or snobby, love people and nature and say yes ma'am and yes sir. My idol is my amazing mother who instilled all the morals and values I hold. I have a younger brother as well, we may not talk everyday, but are very very close. I'm sometimes clumsy and accident prone, but it makes for good stories!!
I've always been an animal lover and my two dogs are a big part of my life. Springer spaniels are awesome dogs!
Anyway........I can be kinda shy, so if I look at your profile and don't wink, it's just that I'd prefer you make the first move if you're interested. Kinda old fashioned I suppose and not one of these aggressive girls.
