In 140 Characters (or less): Down-to-earth, "nerdy" guy with stable career and (some might say) a decent sense of humor. Enjoys the outdoors and finding new/unique ways of embarrassing himself. I'm originally from Michigan, and studied Engineering at the University of Michigan before moving to Boston and then Los Angeles. I very recently relocated to the D.C. area, and really enjoy it here so far. I think part of it is the weather - it feels much more like home. My career is important to me, but I plan to make time for a family at some point down the road. I have a dry/sarcastic sense of humor, so hopefully that's something you can appreciate. I like to go out and have fun occasionally, but I'm not the rowdy, "life of the party" type - more of the conversational one-on-one type. Activities I enjoy include: Hiking/biking, reading the news, and finding new bars and restaurants that are just the right level of pretentious. Growing up I played hockey, and I still play on and off in recreational leagues. I suppose I need to adopt the Capitals as my NHL team, but it's going to be difficult having been a Red Wings' fan for so long. I really enjoy traveling - my latest big trip was to Ireland and England with some family. In Dublin I tried but failed to dramatically recreate the movie "Once". Next time I'll have to teach myself the guitar, learn a repertoire of folksy and emotionally engaging songs, and hit the streets. I know, I know, it's kind of a big investment, but hey it will pay off. Hopefully this gives you a little better sense of who I am. I'm looking for someone nice, friendly, and responsible. Ideally you're also fun, smart, and have a good sense of humor! If you can tell me about an interesting article you read about the economy, behavioral psychology – whatever interests you – then I will give you a high-five. Anyway, if you'd like to know more feel free to send me a message.
