Most of my life is consumed by work. Because, really, if I'm not working, what would I be doing anyway? On the occasion that I'm not working, I love hiking, camping, going to the river, exploring new states, and reading about people who live lives absolutely nothing like mine.
I'm working on a doctorate in technical communication. My research lies somewhere at the intersection of digital rhetoric, human-computer interaction, and digital pedagogy. I teach composition, professional writing, and occasionally a literature class or two. I also have a few other "jobs" that have somehow become attached to these-- I'm not very good at saying "no" to new responsibilities.
I'm not really a big fan of "gay" culture, most especially as it manifests in Atlanta. I prefer a quiet suburban existence without high-pitched screaming, Lady Gaga, and alcohol-induced poor decisions.
