I've got my feet on the ground and have worked hard to get where I am in my life. I love my family and have wonderful friends. I actually enjoy spending time with my folks. I'm extremely loyal to those I love and do what I can to make life better for them. I like to challenge people to think about things from a different perspective. I tend to play devil's advocate at times which can spur on a good debate.
I like being outdoors. I can have fun and make the most of pretty much any situation. I'm able to enjoy just about anything with the right company. I absolutely love music...all kinds really, especially live shows (prefer the smaller to medium sized venues but venture out to deer creek occasionally). I consider myself artistic and tend to notice and appreciate many normal everyday things in a different light.
I don't go all out for myself in the kitchen but like cooking a nice meal with someone. It's a good time for great conversations.
As my friends have put it, I have a charming sense of humor that gets better the longer you know me. I find that I laugh at myself a lot these days.
I can easily be talked into going for a walk, a hike, frisbee or something more exciting like ziplining or rock climbing. I just finished up a season on a kickball team and just started in a new season of dodge ball, indoor volleyball, and a rock wall climbling class for the winter. I could play sand volleyball all friggin day! I enjoy sitting out on the porch reading a book with a beer or a really dirty (gin) martini.
I love my dogs (2 of 'em) and spoil them rotten! They're a big part of my life so patience, tolerance, and a love for animals are important characteristics for someone I'm dating (especially since I just got Johnny and am working on getting him trained). I'm looking to meet a good, honest, outgoing, confident, loyal, funny, affectionate (and doesn't mind showing it!), patient, kind, passionate man who will go on adventures and explore new things and places, go out for dinner and a concert, or stay in for an evening to cook dinner with me...he should have good morals and choose to do the right thing, can tell me secrets and keep mine, and can enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I believe that being honest and sharing feelings is a very important part of building a great relationship. I'm no mind reader and I don't expect the guy I'm with to be one either.
