If the headline didn't give it away, I've got a pretty good sense of humor. I'm good at laughing at myself and finding the humor in just about anything. While I've got a serious, sensitive side, I tend to show the fun, sarcastic, scintillating side of my personality and save serious for a rainy day.
I've done the whole workaholic phase, and I've reached a point in my life recently where I'd like to be more than someone who is really good at their job, and I've started branching out into some new interests. I've always been active and into fitness, but I started running races last year....specifically the kind that require you to crawl through mud, climb over logs, and get really dirty. It would nice to find someone to run Tough Mudder and the Rock and Roll Half Marathon with me this summer. Even better would be someone who can keep up with me!
I've also started to get into cooking over the last few months. While I have a pretty good base knowledge, I'm actually taking classes and am in a Supper Club...so far so good, but I'm also looking for someone with an adventurous palate and a strong stomach. Finally, I'm also trying to use some of my time to give a little bit back. I volunteer sporadically, trying to find a cause or organization that I'm passionate about. I'm still looking, although I'm spending some time doing dog adoption events and logging some time with the Hunger Project next month.
I'm definitely at a point in my life where I'm opening myself up to new things, hence the reactivation of my match profile. I am looking for someone who is active and who is also open to try new things and is not "set in their ways." While I'm not a health fanatic, I am concerned with eating healthy and taking care of myself (both inside and out) and I'm looking for someone with the same mindset. I have a fairly wide range of likes and things I'm up for. I'm comfortable at a black tie event, a dive bar, an 80's metal band concert, or a poetry slam. I love to get all glammed up in 4 inch heels and dresses...but then there are days you can't get me out of my workout pants and a hoodie.
There's a lot more too me, and I have 1747 characters left, but there is something to be said for a little bit of mystery, right?
