ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

For the most part, I have life where I want it right now. I have a steady, well-paying job, a new vehicle, a nice place, great credit, and long-term friends--none of whom are ex-girlfriends. I have some plants I take good care of (which, if it helps, is also not what I'm referring to by "long-term friends"). I don't have any mistakes that I need to get over, I don't have any disgusting habits, and I stay healthy. Super easy.

The greatest piece of advice I've ever been given has been "Keep life simple." After that, "You've got to stay true to yourself" has placed as a close second. For all of the things I've been able to accomplish so far in my life, I feel like I've done a good job of keeping things simple without oversimplifying them, and I've been able to approach things honestly without letting them get too complicated. I like to get out, travel, explore, and try new things. I like setting difficult goals or generally challenging myself. I keep up on current events. I like surprising people or delighting them in that I've been listening carefully. I'm generally able to pull the pieces apart on most things and put them back together in a way that is useful.

In my life, though, I find that the real reward comes from these two pieces of advice: they tend to be where people tend to respect me the most and they tend to be where I find the most respect for myself.

What I'm looking for in a match is somebody who lives her life along the same lines and a relationship that values the same things. I'd like to find somebody who can keep up with me and accept that I might be able to keep up with her. Somebody who's up for fun but who's also comfortable being serious when it's time. I'm not looking for anything super short-term or impersonal; on the same token, though, I'm not looking to put the cart in any way before the horse.

That's it. Again: super easy.

I don't go to church, so I'm probably closer to "spiritual but not religious" in a lot of ways. I've had a lot of exposure to it, though, and I like learning about what others believe in. I know what I believe in, but it's not something I share much.
