So..here I am on a dating website due to urging from family and friends! I am a 40 year old single mom of an 18 year old girl. I have been divorced since my daughter was 3. So...for the last 15 years I have been very busy making a life for myself and my daughter and she has been my main focus. Needless to say, they grow up and go away to college..and here I am wondering...what now?? I have to say I did an awesome job with her (not sure exactly what I did right or didn't do wrong) but she graduated Valedictorian from High School and is a focused, determined young woman going to an excellent University and on her way to greatness!! I dated a couple of men briefly while she was growing up, but no one worth bringing home to her and so...after a while..I just stopped. I am funny, smart and sarcastic and my daughter and her friends can't believe I'm not dating anyone and told me I need to get out more! Easy for them to say..they're young and energetic! I'm looking for someone with a great sense of humor and easy going. I have never been into material things..though it's nice to have nice things, it's not the most important thing in life. I'm not a work-a-holic, I have a normal 9 to 5 job (more like 7 to 3:30), but sometimes do bring my laptop home to get some work done while I watch tv! I started a new job after leaving a company that I had been with for 15 years. I got an offer and felt it was time for a change (Mid life crisis? Empty nest syndrome kicking in?
