Relocated to the Atlanta area for an awesome and challenging job. I am blessed to work for a company that presents opportunities to those willing to relocate and Atlanta will be my third stop since 2010. Luckily, I have every intention of sticking around for a while and making a mark here in GA. It's been fun moving around, but I am definitely ready to settle in one place for a while. I am an outgoing person and enjoy meeting new people and figuring out what made them who they are. I learned from a very wise person that we should live our lives being interested, not interesting and I believe that we become better people by understanding others....for this reason, I am quite the social butterfly and in the past have been involved in several young professional and volunteer organizations. I have also been a tennis player since high school, but since my last couple relocations I have not picked up a racket, mostly because of the difficulty of meeting people to hit with. I intend on starting back up someday in the near future. If you want an easy victory we can play... I'm pretty rusty right now. I recently picked up running... I'm pretty terrible at it, but it clears my mind. My goal this year is to participate in a half marathon... we'll see I guess. I also enjoy the occasional good book and am into a few tv series... Sarcasm is a language I am fluent in and I enjoy having a really good laugh.... I'm not easily offended and can find humor in most situations. I should also disclose at this time that sometimes I have a potty mouth. I"m sure it's really unattractive, but I can't help it. I need it for the emphasis!!! I'm not the greatest, but I also love to dance. I have a weakness for anyone that can make me laugh. I think it's important to laugh at the little things you have no control over, it's not worth the energy to take it seriously.
My family means the world to me. They're in Texas so I jump on every chance I can to see them. Like me, they are a bunch of dorks and I couldn't have asked for a better home. Every time we're together I can't help but think about how lucky we are. Like every family, we have our disagreements, but we always come together no matter what. Family and friends are really important to me and this is something I expect a partner to value as well. No white pickett fence perfection, but the not so perfect kind that accepts and loves you no matter what.
As far as the person I am looking to meet: I can't say I have a specific definition for the ideal person... I really respect honesty. I'm not fragile, so I appreciate when someone is not afraid to tell me what they really feel. Don't try so hard to sugar coat bad news, just say it! I think I will forever be curious why confrontation is so difficult for people.... I've discovered it's easier to have the uncomfortable conversation rather than avoid it.
I'm certainly hoping for a relationship, but I'm not the kind of girl that jumps into something... or the kind that gets angry when someone else doesn't feel the same way. It is what it is and I believe when it's right things will fall into place. Send me a message if you'd like to chat. Even if you think I may just fit into your circle of friends!
