I am easily amused - life is far more interesting that way. I've found that the simpler and smaller moments and things can bring more joy than anything. I like to hang out at home, as long as there is a good balance with being out and having a good time. I enjoy volunteering, spending time in the sun, walking my dog, Max, and spending time with people.
I am psyched for Snoqualmie Pass to open. I volunteer with a Special Olympics Ski Team, and I miss my athletes so much! I can't wait for the first weekend in January when the "season" starts! I love great food - all kinds of food, but I have to take it easy on the spicy. I fondly refer to my inability to eat anything over a level 2 as having a "White Girl stomach."
I love Survivor (even the crappy seasons - I know, hate away, but I just love it!), mourned when they wrapped up Law Order after so many years, and think the DVR is one of the best inventions ever. Movies are great too, but there is something about a TV series that I love, much like book series: it's not necessarily the end of the story when the credits roll. And the DVR lets me catch up whenever I find the time.
I am looking for someone fun to broaden my horizons as well as fit well within the existing ones. I love to laugh, so someone who enjoys laughing and life would be great! Family needs to be important, but know that I am not looking to settle down just yet. There is more of the world I want to see before starting a family! I have not left the country since January of 2010, and I am itching to take my next adventure. I just need to save up the money first! I hope I'll make it to South Africa soon to visit my sister from Ecuador. I want to explore Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, and of course spend more time in Central and South America.
My family and friends are very important to me, as is my love for travel - particularly latin america. I lived in Ecuador for a year and speak fluent Spanish. Some of my friends speak Spanish to some degree and the two former exchange students that lived with my family are considered siblings. As with any family, my extended family certainly has its quirks and insanity - which only makes the holidays more fun!
