ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

....Are we meeting up for coffee and then an art heist? It turns out I actually do have a wall above my TV where a painting just might look perfect. Perhaps coffee first, though.

I am a high school teacher in suburban Boston. I teach chemistry and physics - okay now, why does everyone groan and run away when I say that? Science teachers have feelings, too :) While I enjoy science and teaching, my greatest passion has always been music - playing, listening, and catching a live show.
Even though I was never been a "sports kid", I took up taekwondo at 32, seemingly out of nowhere. Five plus years in - and now a newly-minted 2nd-degree black belt (October 2012). Great stress relief (now why, as a teacher, would I need that?)
I love to get people to laugh. Sometimes it?s jokes, or movies, or a battle of wits until one person gives in and starts laughing. If you don't believe I can get you to laugh, give me the chance to prove that statement wrong :)
In the meantime, I love to explore everything Boston (and the nation and the world) has to offer. But?.it would be more fun to explore it all with someone else. A live volcano in Hawaii and Mozart's birthplace are two of the items for the bucket list. I was in New York City last month as a chaperone for a school trip (yeah, I managed to survive that one - the two free shows helped me 'cope' :) ), and I would be eager to return. No, this is not the first step en route to me wearing a Yankees cap, but say the word and I'll join you to go see a new exhibit at the Met. There was something special about this rather ordinary and insignificant moment when I was waiting with students in the Art Deco-style lobby of the Edison Hotel and found myself reading "The Razor's Edge" set in the same time period. Not life-changing, but inexplicably neat.
I am attracted to someone who is positive, intelligent, and compassionate. If you are shy, I know I can tease out that sparkling smile of yours; if you are the sarcastic sophisticate, I will be on my guard for your razor-sharp wit. If you sing on stage or are more of a car-stereo diva I will be happy to accompany on piano. Let's meet up for coffee, go to a concert, cheer on the Sox, or just try something new (how about swing dance or salsa classes - I'm game for it if you are).
I'm looking for someone who is close to her family and friends, values friendship as much as romance in a relationship, and someone who has a healthy outlook on life. Thanks for visiting. If all of this fits your "formula" for great chemistry, send me a note. I would love to hear from you.
