I am free-spirited and open-minded. Love having fun in whatever form it takes and must always be learning. I can range from pensive or composed to playful and outdoorsy. Can go from Birkenstocks or cowboy boots to Blahniks in short order. Generally happy with a positive to realistic like outlook. Growing up in rural Oregon I am very comfortable with rugged masculinity. Literary and cerebral pursuits please me. I like the intangible and abstract. Banter and wit reign. I am not comfortable with narrow-mindedness. I like Burning Man. Had a blast at Rainbow Gathering. I like gender roles. A lot. Country/Hippy is good but the city offers necessary balance in the form of embraced femininity. Love the culture, spirit, people, and activities associated with Colorado mountain living; particularly in charming ski towns. I also love the energy and bustle of Manhattan and walking everyplace. The leisure of Western Europe holds a draw as does the intrigue of Asia. I want to visit Prague, go all over Asia, and exist where Dostovesky, Chekhov, and Pushkin were inspired to write their masterpieces. Idle beach vacations do not suit me. Unless of course, somebody is reading "The Garden of Eden" to me while my toes are dabbling in the Mediterranean. I like events. The ideal often exceeds the execution in grandeur. I do not like (or watch) TV and am rather offended at the viewing options offered to spectators. The first season Survivor aired was the last year I watched TV. I love movies and am especially fond of Wes Anderson, Fassbinder, Tarantino, musicals, British comedy, cerebral flicks, and films from the 50's and 60's. Love, love, love music! I love country and am particularly fond of old country music. I like indie rock, live local music, local venues with alternating bands, broadway, punk, and most anything really; save, 80's music. There are a few exceptions, but I really have very little to no affinity for 80's music. Rodeos make me happy. Particularly bull riding. I enjoy varied activities ranging from drum circles, festivals, opera, live sporting events, theater, food wine, cooking, Ikebana, darts, kayaking, kiting, berry picking, clam digging, most outdoor activities, and so many others. I am not a great camper but am trying to embrace it because I enjoy sharing space with nature (not a campsite) so much. Hiking is good. Open to most anything new.
