Gonna try to give you a snapshot here...
I think most of my friends would describe me as "girl next door" (...and not like in the movie of the same name ;) ). When going out, I am most comfortable in some jeans and heels, but I also like to get dressed up on occasion. Mostly, I am pretty easy going in my social world. You are more likely to find me talking to a few friends than being the center of attention. I have a good sense of humor, and although I don't necessarily view myself as funny, I have been told that I am. I can laugh at myself, and...I will probably laugh at you, too. ;) I tend to be somewhat quiet in unfamiliar situations; it takes me a little while to warm up.
A few trips on my "someday" list include Alaska in summer, a west coast road trip from Cali to Washington with MANY stops along the way, and a Mediterranean cruise. Someday... This summer, I hope to make it to Savannah, Georgia. I have wanted to go there since reading Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil a few years ago.
I really like listening to live music. All kinds, really. It's always nice when it is accompanied by a good beer or a glass of wine.
And in the interest of full disclosure, while I do like to get out and "do stuff," I am also not at all opposed to lazy Saturdays and/or napping.
As with most people, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy exercising, cooking, playing with my boxer pup (ok, she's 8 with the energy of a pup), traveling and spending time relaxing outdoors. Oh...and I love watching a good baseball game...I am partial to the Cards, of course!
What am I looking for? Well, probably the same things most people on this site would want...someone to date and then, ya know, see where it takes us. Specifically, I am looking for someone who is ready to settle down. I am really not looking for a fling. Also, it would be great to find someone who enjoys hanging with family and friends, exercising, eating (and cooking...I have a grill that needs some love...it could be a joint effort), playing with an 8 year old boxer, traveling, relaxing outside, and watching the occasional baseball game. A good sense of humor sure doesn't hurt either. Someone I can confide in, trust, learn from, try new things with, share my faith with, etc, etc.
I don't go "out" like I used to, so my opportunities to meet new people are somewhat limited these days. Giving this a shot.
