Hi, my name is Ryan and I have a laboratory and I teach a class at Berkeley. My students would tell you that I'm incredibly nice and smart and charming and handsome, but I would tell them that complimenting me will not earn them an A. One of the reasons why I love my career is that I get to travel all around the world with my friends/colleagues and students, learning about new cultures and trying new/different types of food (buy me a drink, and I'll tell you about the craziest things I've ever eaten). Day to day, I think it's important to balance the serious stuff in life with pretty much anything that makes me laugh/smile. Women who are genuinely sweet, bright, and optimistic are awesome.
