Hello and thank you for wandering into this profile! I am a mostly-recovered ski bum balancing a small business with going to the mountains, travelling and occasionally staying up past my bedtime.
I am a first generation American with family in Denmark and Israel. I have been to both countries many times growing up. I love to travel, and have been to most European countries, Morocco, Jordan, Japan and Mexico. Showing up in South America with no plan and a month to kill is high on my list right now. The best trips are improvised…the best music is improvised…the best weekends are improvised…life is best improvised.
After college, I moved to Colorado from New Jersey (represent!) to be a snowboard instructor and live in the mountains. I taught lessons, waited tables, tended bar, cooked and even spent some nights as a hydro-porcelain technician (that’s a dishwasher!). That was an amazingly fun couple years of powder days, mid-week hikes and parties. I moved on to graduate school, and after working for several more years, I now own a small consulting firm with some partners. It requires a lot of time and energy, but I truly love my job. It affords me the freedom to pursue my professional curiosities and has taken me to many places—from Colorado mountain towns, to rural Oklahoma, to Alaska and Japan.
Now I know what you are thinking… Is this guy some kind of workaholic? Well pretty lady, the answer to that is not no, but hell no! As an accomplished man of leisure, I can tell you that nothing beats the woods on a powder day, nothing beats the sound of the crowd when the lights go down, nothing beats reaching the destination of your hike…only to realize you have to make it back to camp before it storms, nothing beats my green chili recipe, nothing beats the smell of the beach and the sound of the waves, nothing beats impromptu dinner parties with good friends (and wine), nothing beats realizing that the most important things in life are your people and your adventures.
I am looking for a genuine, down-to-earth, intelligent, beautiful and occasionally sassy lady, who is not afraid to improvise some nights on the town with me. Who knows where things may lead? I am ultimately looking for a long-term relationship and you should be too, willing to let things progress at their pace.
