I'm an honest, caring person who can also be sarcastic. I am a big animal lover and can't imagine being with someone that is not. I'm looking for someone that is kind, laid back and has a sense of humor. Staying active is also important to me and it should be to you too. To me that doesn't mean working out at the gym 5 days a week but finding things that you enjoy to stay healthy. While I do go to the gym several times a week I also horseback ride (lessons and independently - I was a "working student" at a lesson barn but just started leasing a horse so I can ride more). I also got into yoga about a year ago and, while I don't always have time to get to a class, I practice a lot on my own. In the more mild months I also enjoy running outside and often bring my dog on shorter runs (over 4 miles and he will refuse to go anymore unless were heading in the direction of a place that gives dog treats, haha). Despite being active, I do also enjoy a lazy day doing nothing once in a while. Eating healthy is important to me as well. I eat vegetarian and don't eat a lot of processed junk. I try to make choices that are not only healthy but environmentally friendly. I do have a weakness for dessert though!
Another important facet of my life is my religion. While I'm not incredibly religious, being Jewish is important to me. I was raised conservative, grew up keeping Kosher, and have relatives that are Orthodox. I want to be with someone that values Jewish traditions and culture. I attend synagogue on all the high holidays and used to go to Shabbat services for young professionals when I lived in DC. You don't have to be really religious but I also don't want to feel as if I am "dragging" the person I am dating to synagogue! To me, Judaism is a lot about heritage and a way to feel connected to family and a community. I think that aspect has become more important to me as I've gotten older and thought about a future with a family and children.
