You know when you get all comfortable in bed and you're so tired but then you forgot you have to get up for whatever reason (we all know it's to pee) and you get really bummed? Well, that's just happened to me in a bigger way. I was finally settled into my new life in Savannah, when I had to suddenly return to Atlanta. I thought it was going to be a weekend trip, but apparently they frown on procrastinating to turn in your transfer forms from the Atlanta campus to the Savannah campus, and I have to actually GO to class here. So, I put on my gypsy hat and moved around again. As of today, I'm in the Atlanta area... but here is what I wrote before this changes of events:
My situation is a little different- I moved to Savannah a few years ago for a fresh start. I loved it, but then my mom got sick and I moved back home to Atlanta to take care of her. She passed away in May, so that has made a major difference in my life. The woman was amazing (as most mothers are), and she was my very best friend. I learned from losing her so early that there isn't time to wait around and see what happens to you- you gotta make it happen. And here I am, back in Savannah! I have a think for being near the water. But back to the whole "life changing experience"...
It all lead me to finally enroll in Grad School instead of just looking at my acceptance letter. I am studying to get my MBA in Aviation with a specialization in Airline and Airport Management from Embry Riddle. I love it and I'm super excited to get to my internship in a year or so- but what I wasn't expecting was the insane work load! I'm an overachiever, but you have to be in order to get where you want to be with this school. So school is now my full time job. Fortunately I am living with my oldest and closest friend while her husband is deployed to Iraq, and helping her with their 1 year old who has me wrapped around his little finger. But in exchange for the help, I get to live rent and bill free so I can concentrate on keeping my grades up. The master plan is to own my own FBO and flight school at a General Aviation Airport... gotta get there somehow. Oh, by the way- I'm obsessed with aviation. I don't have my pilot's license, but I had the hours... that's a long story.
I'm VERY excited to be back in Savannah, but it's bittersweet because the two closest friends that I made there have moved away since as well. So, I'm gonna need some new friends. That's where you come in :) If there is a mutual attraction, well, we'll go from there- but sometimes the best "on paper" match for you lacks a spark. But I have this superhero power for becoming good friends with people when I meet them. Plus, it takes a lot of the pressure off. If you aren't attracted to me, but enjoy my company then you have nothing to worry about :)
I'm not laid back- I like to be doing something almost all the time. I love the outdoors and I'm very much a tomboy at heart. But, I'm still a lady so I do like to throw on a dress, go for dinner and drinks (although, I'm really into this Marvel thing that they have going on. The Avengers... don't get me started)
Obviously I have a lot to say (that's what studying all day every day does to a person).
Also, I'm just very curious about this "body type" thing. They all seem very subjective, so let's save some time. I am traditionally called curvy. I'm a little over my "healthy weight" from the chart in the doctor's office. But, I've got a mix of pictures from a few years ago to last week SO I'm pretty steady. I kinda feel the same way about the hair color- some times it's brown, sometimes red, and sometimes auburn. I don't know why, but those questions have been killing me about how to answer them lol
