I believe ketchup packets should be bigger. I mean, who uses just one ketchup packet? Is there some issue with the surface to volume ratio and the spoiling rate or something?
I believe in going to the farmer's market and the park and going on hikes. I think food tastes better when it has been prepared by someone you know and it is eaten outside.
I believe I've done my job as a mom when my kid is dirty and tired and really hungry at the end of the day because he's been running around having fun.
I'm curious, talkative, and enthusiastic.
I like to camp but I also like to wear high heels [disclaimers: a) not at the same time; b) yes, I know that this is a subtle rendition of "the girl that is equally comfortable in sweat-pants and an evening gown," but it is different because it is actually true].
I'm originally from California and moved to Boston ten years ago to go to graduate school. I moved to San Diego last year to pursue my passion for teaching science and to be closer to my family. As a science teacher at a local private school, I have a career that is personally rewarding, intellectually challenging, and allows me to have time for my interests outside the classroom.
I spend lots of time cooking and baking and love being outdoors. I practice yoga and usually make it to about 4 classes per week. I do miss some parts of the East Coast life-style (i.e. walking, you may have heard of it, it's where you use your legs for travel rather than a car), but overall I am very happy to be back on the West Coast. While I grew up in California, San Diego is new to me, so I've been busy exploring this beautiful city and all that it has to offer. I'd love to meet someone who can show me around -- I'm looking for some good hiking trails and am thinking I might want to try paddle boarding sometime.
Who I am looking for:
You are athletic and intelligent and use proper punctuation and grammar (i.e., you know the difference between your and you're [and possibly even yore]). You have a good sense of humor and don't take yourself too seriously. You don't think yoga is just stretching, and may even have a yoga practice in place yourself. You are confident and self-assured. In fact, you're thinking to yourself right now, "I need to email this girl!". So go ahead, drop me a line.
