Well I was born in North India, but lived in Maryland most of my life. Went to business school for undergrad (UMD), have been a consultant the past couple of years (like many in the area), and own a car (because constant metro delays are an unnecessary hassle). Am a bit of a nerd (comes with being an IT major) but don't live at home with my family (am close to my family though) and have no problems hitting up clubs/lounges (been told I'm not a terrible dancer). Am a big fan of football (Miami Dolphins), basketball (Orlando Magic), martial arts, soccer (or the real "football"), fast cars, spicy food, traveling overseas and tea. Have a bit of a sarcastic/cynical personality, but more of the humorous (as opposed to bitter) variety.
Figure lists always make things easy, so some respective favorites:
Music: Can listen to any type of music, but mostly listen to hip-hop, dance/club music and sometimes throw in some foreign music. T-Pain, Lonely Island, The Cataracs, Childish Gambino, Michael Jackson, The Game, Daddy Yankee, Bob Marley, Linkin Park (prior CDs), Drake, 311, Weezer, David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Chris Brown, etc.
Movies: Watch a variety of movies, including foreign films. Some favorites include: the original Star Wars and Lord of the Rings Trilogies, Boondock Saints, Harold and Kumar series, Slumdog Millionaire, Gladiator, Ip Man 1 and 2, The Last Samurai, The Rush Hour series, Jet Li's Hero and Fearless.
Shows: Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, Suits, Archer, The Boondocks (hoping for it's eventual return), The Daily Show/Colbert Report, Sportscenter, various National Geographic/Discovery/History Channel shows and CNN/MSNBC news shows.
Food: Eat most types of food, but especially like Thai and Indian food. The spicier the better. Full disclosure though; have been known to grab some late night TBell or Jumbo Slice.
Looking for someone that thinks we have some things in common, reaches for the hot sauce when at a restaurant, can handle some sarcasm (and perfectly cool if you dish some out as well for some friendly banter), likes the DC area but also enjoys exploring and exchanging travel stories about other places as well (domestic or international).
