Soon after I moved to Boston, about two and a half years ago, an acquaintance asked me, "Why would you move from Portland to Boston? Everyone I know wants to move to Portland?". I explained to him how the move was motivated by the excitement and adventure of entering the unknown and a desire to further pursue a relationship with a women originally from here who I had gone to school with back in Oregon. Well, time reveled the the relationship wasn't meant to be, but time also revealed a career, new friendships and countless priceless experiences. Portland, Or will will always feel like home, but now Boston is my home.
I tend find satisfaction in violating the status-quot. Professionally, I am a Machinist and Process Engineer, but I have a B.S. In political and social science. I love punk rock music and hanging out with my foulmouthed buddies, but I also believe in being a gentleman and demonstrating respect towards authority. I can bake pretty decent cookies, but I can also fix pretty much anything mechanical.
I'm interested in meeting some kind, compassionate, motivated and adventurous. It would be cool as well if that someone was also professionally ambitious and intellectually hungry. Be well.
