I'm living the dream! Sometimes, while sitting in a school assembly about bike safety, I ask myself, "could it get any better than this?" Immediately followed by an "is this really my life?" I teach fifth grade. The kids are sassy, but I love my job. Family is important to me. I have two older brothers, so I can hold my own in a fight.
Laughter is also extremely important to me. I smile all the time and have a sense of humor similar to the 11 year olds that I teach. It would be great to meet someone who can make me laugh really hard. I'm super easy going and I'm interested in meeting someone with similar traits.
I'm truly a local. I have lived in the DC area all my life except for the five years I spent in Austin for school (btw...I did manage to graduate in 4 years) Austin is such a great city and I wasn't ready to leave. I decided to come back to use my political science degree but quickly realized that I hate politics, and I went for my masters in education at Hopkins. I have been a teacher for eight wonderful years. Praying for a snow day soon!
If you do not live in your mom's basement and if any part of my profile made you smile, then I would love to hear from you.
