So, this is a dating site, correct? So, I'm thinking that it might be more fun and less work if we just meet for dinner, or a pre-date of coffee/cocktails, and see if we can communicate better in person than by judging each other solely by profile content. But feel free to continue reading...
I love to laugh, probably because it keeps me from being too serious all the time. I am pretty independent and sometimes feisty. What do I want from this site? To meet someone I click with. I'm on here because I work a lot usually and I'm not really into the bar scene, but I'm finally ready to head out into the great world of dating in a new town.
My only kid right now is four-legged and furry and meows at me when dinner is late. I'm into doing, or attempting, activities, not exercise. I'd rather ride a bike trail than exercise in a gym. I love travel and will one day be able to afford to do so.
Originally, I'm from New York, via a couple of other states. I think living in a few different places gives me a greater perspective on the world. I've been to Europe too and would go back in a heartbeat if I won the lottery. But I'd have to play it first. Always a catch. I chose Boston because it's a big little city and I liked it upon first arrival. And I still like it, even after the 2010 winter. I'm a pastry chef for now, animal lover and DIY-er. Visiting Home Depot makes me tingle with the anticipation of starting a project. One day, I will own a house that gives me enough projects to stay busy for ages.
I'm still learning Boston and getting through this blissfully mild winter. I love live shows, bands, musicals, plays and stand-up comedy. I don't expect my partner in crime to love all of these, but definitely a couple of them.
I drove across country on my own, from Napa valley to South Carolina, then decided to move to Cape Cod for a summer to start a new chapter of my life, ending up here in Boston after visiting some friends. I can be very sarcastic and prefer dry wit over juvenile humor. On the flip side of that, I can also be quite literal at times, so things fly right by me. I love my cat, but wish my lifestyle could let me have a dog. Usually, I'm an upbeat person, trying not to let the daily grind of life get me down.
What am I looking for? That's a big question! The most important things to me are honesty and trust. You can't build a strong relationship without those. After that, it has to be a complimentary sense of humor and intelligence. We have to be attracted to each other, of course, as I'm a pretty passionate girl. However, I do find that the more I interact with someone, the more effect their personality has on my attraction. Hopefully, this person will also support me in my new endeavors, as I would hope to support him.
I hope to find someone who wants to travel and seeing the world a bit. Since I cook for a living, food is an important part my my life. Most of my social events involve it in some way. I love animals and believe strongly in pet adoption, so a guy with a rescue animal has a leg up on the rest already.
Are you any of these things? Or all of them? And, will you make me laugh and feel comfortable enough to look like an idiot when I attempt bowling with you?
BTW, I really am working on more photos. I tend to take more photos of my food creations than myself.
