Hello, so I will try to convey myself as best as I can through this but you probably know that’s easier said than done. So a little bit about myself. To be straightforward, I'm a pretty reserved type of person and relatively quiet. I'm not really outgoing and definitely don't like to be the center of attention. I'm the type that would much rather hang out with a few friends than say go to a party. I’m not the most social person, in fact sometimes I'm just socially awkward but I've learned it's kinda fun to be socially awkward; I embrace it now. With that said, you can be the most outgoing and extraverted person on the planet and we very well may get along.
I consider myself laid back, very open-minded, and tend to go with the flow. I tend to live in my head a lot too which sometimes makes me look distant. I think if you were to ask my friends about me, you would find them saying the same thing but also that I am probably one of the most stable, dependable, and trusted person they know. People find it easy to confide in me and often they come to me for an objective view on situations. I’m looking for someone who is also somewhat cerebral, driven, has goals, can put up with my odd and often inappropriate sense of humor, and overall just a very relaxing person to be around with.
Right now, I tend to be relatively busy at my current stage in life. I am in graduate school full time working on my master’s in health administration but currently work as a high school physics teacher. My experience going on three years in education has shown me that this may not be the industry for me. However, if I could go back in time I still would not have changed my path thus far. The things I have learned and experienced so far I wouldn't trade for anything. I've worked at NASA and saw things no one will ever see now that the shuttle program is gone and have lots of stories from teaching my physical science and physics kids. No regrets.
One of my favorite things to do to relax is just to listen to some music (usually dubstep) and browse the web for anything of interest. I’m a huge fan of club music and dubstep although clubs are definitely not my scene; I can’t dance if my life depended on it either. I also like “netflixing”. I love my Netflix even though they only add new things what seem like once a year. I tend to frequent the sci-fi and documentary sections.
Although I tend to be a homebody, I do like to go out occasionally. Honestly, my perfect date night would be cooking something together over a bottle of wine…..or two, and good conversation. I love a good, intelligent conversation. I like to cook too and try new things. I may not be the best cook but I’m always learning something new and improving. I’d like someone that doesn’t mind spending more nights in than out though.
In closing, I am looking for someone that is in it for the long haul but by no means am I in a rush, at all. Good things take time to develop. I'd love to hear from you if your're interested.
