I'm originally from Santa Barbara, CA and moved to Albuquerque in 2003 to play for the Isotopes after I got hurt with the Florida Marlins. I am now retired and enjoy being active in my new career as a teacher. It is very rewarding to be able to education our future leaders.
I enjoy spending time with my family and appreciate a person who is family oriented as well. I love to travel all over the world and being a baseball player and teacher has allowed me to visit many amazing places. I'm excited and looking forward to meeting new people and great friends.

As far as me, I find define myself as smart, fun, outgoing, a leader never a follower, driven, loving, caring and family oriented just to name a few. Haha. But seriously! The main thing I'm looking for is someone that shares the same core values as me. I want someone to except me for who I am as a person and not who they want me to be...I'm not just willing to settle for second best.
As far as my previous career and current career, previously I played professional baseball for 11 years with several teams, but the NY Mets for 6 years of those 11. I'm a person who sets my goals high and then goes and achieves them, with blood, sweat, and tears. So to speak! Once I retired from professional baseball, l immediately started and finished my bachelors degree in history and criminal justice with an emphasis in education in 3 years. Now onto my masters. I'm intrinsically driven as a individual, and learned it at a young age.
Now I teach students with special needs such as, students with autism, specific learning disability in reading, writing and math as well as gang members and drug addicts. This is where all of my back grounds come in handy. Somedays can be extremely challenging, but the challenges I face on a daily basis is what I was born to incur and per savvier through. I love my job because everyday is something new. These students that I teach need a role model in their lives and I'm willing to fill that role for them because everyone else has given up on them. But not me, NEVER!
