I'm best described as very adventurous and outgoing, enjoy the outdoors and being active. My work requires a great amount of physical activity, so I participate in as many activities as I can. I run everyday and think it's a great way to relax. Typically, I run anywhere from 4 to 7 miles a day, and would love to train for a marathon if I could find the time. I have recently gotten back in to cycling and find myself on the Burt Gilman trail about every weekend for long rides. I did rowing for 11 years, and was lucky to be sent to Croatia to represent the US at a competition.
Being up here is quite the change from the beach weather I grew up with, but I can say that when the sun is out, there's no place better. I went to school in New Jersey for college to study Biological Science and compete in rowing. It was a great experience, but made me appreciate warmer weather even more. I like to consider myself a beach bum at heart, but I've grown accustomed to the rain and cold up here.
Personally, I believe being faithful to friends and loved ones is very important in order to develop and maintain any relationship. Those that know me best know that I am always someone to be counted on to do what I say and be there for those that need. I enjoy spending a big chunk of time with my two young nieces who are so energetic. I find that they break up the monotony of the weekly grind and make the weekend something to look forward to.
I am a hard worker and believe that what you put into something determines what you get out of it. The greatest successes I've had have all come from putting my nose to the grindstone. I am a very outgoing gent, and can hold a conversation on just about any topic, mostly because of the wide array of reading I do in my free time. The greatest lesson I ever learned was to read often and read widely. I feel that the more we know, the better suited we are to make decisions when the time comes.
I'm a huge Sounders fan, and try to go to as many games as possible. There's no better atmosphere to watch any sporting event than in Seattle. I'd like to meet new people who enjoy flying by the seat of their pants and do the tourist routine for kicks. The SAM and Seattle Aquarium are two of my favorite places to visit because all the awesome exhibits they have.
I have come to enjoy being adventurous by myself and discovering new things about Seattle every chance I get, but it is obviously more fun and fulfilling to share that with someone special. I'd like to meet someone who is open to exploring a city that has a lot of hidden gems, enjoys intelligent conversation, and doesn't mind getting dirty every once in a while.
Corny factoid: I always get a kick out of the quotes and facts on the inside of Sobe and Snapple bottle tops!
