I know we are both looking for someone right now, but here's the thing...you probably aren't the one for me and I'm probably not the one for you. That's not to say we aren't both great people. It's just that the odds are against us being the perfect fit for each other. So why don't we do this - instead of having a 30 minute interview over coffee to see if this is "the one," let's just try to make a connection and find something we can do together. Maybe I can be the one with whom you take salsa lessons (no rhythm, but I'd love to learn), go skiing (snow or water, I love 'em both), be your date to black tie events (I clean up well and am at ease in any crowd), or anything else that just makes life fun. This way, it's a win as long as we make a friend.
At the end of the day, I'm looking for that best friend with whom I want to do everything.
