I love nature. Used to be a biologist and spent a lot of time in forests and mountains, but my job now has me more tied to a desk, strapped into an airplane seat, or meeting with officials in cities I only just learnt to spell. Have lived in several countries and have very cosmopolitan tastes. Have spoken a bunch of languages, mostly very badly, but be careful, because I may understand more than I let on. Willing to try almost anything once - including internet dating.
I am British, so I have a very dry sense of humor. Which is not always understood in the US, but I try to play nice with those who don't know me well enough to not take me too seriously. It also means I don't understand American sports, but I am willing to be tutored.
Physical attraction is important to me - it's what gets the ball rolling - but it doesn't sustain a relationship. I appreciate people who are caring and show an interest in the wider world. An inquiring mind and empathy are beautiful things. I'm looking for a serious relationship, but I also value female company and friends, so even if the spark isn't there, it doesn't mean that time's been wasted.
