ABOUT HIM & WHO HE'S LOOKING FOR

First, let me begin by saying I’m willing to lie to your friends about how we met.

Second, I believe honesty is the basis of a good relationship. Unless we’re running late and you ask, “Do you hate what I’m wearing?” That answer will always be, “Oh gawd, you look amazing!”

Thirdly, you should know I live with two female roommates; Sarah and Amy. They needed a place to crash and I’m a sucker for puppy breath. I don’t know their breeds but to protect their feelings I tell them they’re Irish Setters. I believe honesty is important.

Fourth, I’m a big fan of Limited Full Disclosure.
I studied Psychology and Biology at Texas AM and Youth Ministry at Abilene Christian University (where I played shortstop for ACU’s baseball team). I served in the Navy reserves. I was getting a Ph.D. in Clinical Psych when my wife of almost two years was killed in a hit and run crash. I actually handled it pretty f***ing badly. For about three years.

Fifth, I totally believe that people can turn their ship around.
I started working at a homeless shelter, which is a lot like my cooking: scary and gross at times with a lot of smells you’d rather not identify - but very rewarding.
I play baseball in the South Texas Senior League, I lift weights now 5 days a week. Bought my first house last February and I’m having a great time planting Mountain Laurels, junipers, jasmine and lumbegos. May flip it, may keep it - I dunno. Furthermore I’m a Texas Aggie and follow Aggie football like a cult member.

Also back in a Ph. D. program again and I have a dissertation a lot of "important" people in my field are interested in. It turns out to steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research.

Sixthly, a man has to pay his bills.
I’m work as a Pharmacy Tech for First Methodist here in San Antonio. You should probably avoid this hospital. Just saying.

Seventhly, I like to do stuff.
I enjoy reading history novels and irritating self-help books. I love Formula 1 and Rally Car racing and want to attend a driver training camp in Austin next year. I don't hunt anymore, but I sometimes go fishing still. I enjoy hanging out with friends and family. It’s because of them and my dogs that i was able to exit the wilderness. I value loyalty above all other virtues. I make an effort to be an easy going person though I'm not devoid of passions. I'm conservative to a certain degree, but love to make people laugh every chance I get.

So, finally, with all these balls in the air WHY would I want to complicate my life with a woman? Because y'all are just simply awesome creatures and I am ready to experience that intimacy and companionship again. I’m attracted to physically fit, strong, independent women who love laughter, enjoy their career and can be genuine with themselves (tall order, I know). I want someone I can vibe with on a spiritual and intellectual level; a woman who will teach me new things and inspire me, but whom I can encourage and support as well as stimulate and physically arouse.

It's been a while since I dated. My views have matured since my 20's. It’s a complicated world and everybody brings some history with them. What matters most to me is who you are NOW; anything else from the past we can probably deal with because some people are totally worth it. 
