Girls, guys and parents love me; I even love some of them right back. I recently moved to LA from a 9 year adventure in NY and have become an avid hiker who loves to cook. There is still that NYer in me who was a subway hopper and loved soup out of a can and I still believe that Central Park blanketed in snow on a cold winter morning is perfection. I have lived across the street from a library for 9 years without ever going inside, but can spend the whole day at Barnes and Noble. My friends are eclectic, from executives to comedians, from lawyers to electricians; I can party with rock stars and hang with Orthodox Jews. Watching too much TV sounds like a fate worse than death, yet I love HBO. Recently, I completed the NYC Triathlon just under five hours. The good news is I tamed my curiosity and now know what the Hudson River tastes like. I like the soft touch of velvet but you will not find me near a velvet rope. I have so much passion, I assure you, you'll be floored. I observe Jewish holidays for the music, family and the food. Culture and tradition is important, religious rules are not. I can open my own jars, but I'll count on you for moving the curls off my face, back scratches and teaching me to play chess. When I'm finally completely goofy with you, you'll know that I trust you a hundred percent. You understand that romance is about the right companion, not the right atmosphere, that even if the room is empty, being with your significant other makes it romantic. I have joined summer shares and have gone on vacation alone. But I want to share future trips with someone special standing next to me. I've skied the blue trails; maybe we'll navigate the Black Diamonds together. I am looking for a man who appreciates the importance of Sunday night HBO and easily partakes in witty repartee. He might jog with me on the beach in the mornings, but enjoys being lazy the rest of the day. His family background may be very different from mine. He allows me my alone time. He can harden or soften me, showing me a new world, different side of culture or Judaism or politics. He loves dogs. He might love sushi and would never blackberry over dinner. He might appreciate the Jewish / Yiddish / Russian cultures. He loves Thanksgiving and understands why as immigrants, my family always values it. He may be confident, not cocky. He is kind and understanding
