I am a Cali girl who enjoys life: fun, food, travel, dancing and more. I'm always up for something new. "I'll try anything once, " I always say. I am energetic, silly and social and love having good conversation. Some may call me corny, but ..hey! Look over there! (did you look?) I LOVE to laugh and love a good sense of humor.
At work I am passionate and dedicated. I'm definitely a "work hard, play hard" kind of person. It's very important to me to serve the underserved...people who need the extra hand and are often forgotten. I have a big heart, lots of compassion and a soft spot for children and teens. Poverty, bigotry, materialism and general attitudes of entitlement get under my skin.
I love world travel. Some women live to shop, I'll wear the same thing every day if it means I can go to another country (well, almost)! Mall or world travel? Uh... really? I do not answer such ridiculous questions. But I am still a female... I fit the stereotype of lusting after some shoes! Men may shake their head and catcall at a lady walking by, I'll do that same thing to a pair of shoes! (don't judge!)
I am pretty active and enjoy getting out and doing things! I have gone water skiing, hiking, rock climbing, roller blading (love it!), bike riding, snow skiing - you name it! I enjoy all of those, but LOVE dancing! I take a lot of dance classes for fun, grew up taking dance and love to go out to different clubs (hip hop, salsa, bachata).
I love eating and I love cooking. I love eating what I cook. I love eating what you cook. If you cannot cook, I love eating food you bought! But I can't lie, gotta love a guy who enjoys cooking. I love all things spicy. The spicier the better sometimes! In short - I am a big fan of eating. Spirituality is important to me, and I feel my belief in God makes me strive to be a better person. I would love to meet a guy who feels the same. While it may send a certain image of me, I attend church – almost weekly. I work with the teenagers at my church, which gives me a sense of purpose and makes church more than just nodding off during a sermon (I’m not afraid to admit I nod off sometimes!). Teens are trying to figure everything out and talking with them interests me a lot more than older adults who are set in their views! I am pretty liberal – I can’t stand dogmatic viewpoints. Life happens in grey areas. In general, I believe a respect for and relationship with God is something that is always evolving and growing. It'll be nice to be on similar pages on that journey.
I'd love to meet a guy who enjoys adventure, travel, dancing and general forms of funnery (new word). I'd also love to meet a guy who is a closeted nerd (or maybe even out of the closet - there is nothing wrong with that). Deep discussions on all things related to the way the world works (and the problems it creates) are right up my nerdy alley. I’d love to meet a guy who finds kids hilarious & fun – probably because he is part kid himself! If you have already done some world travel, that's a plus!
I love a guy who enjoys communicating openly and is not afraid to speak the truth. (I can handle the truth even if it stings a little!) I really am not a fan of a guy who cannot handle conflict. Passive aggressive, silence and general avoidance are just time wasters to me. Also – I really can’t stand selfishness. I’m not talking about the normal, human “but that’s my LAST piece of garlic bread” moments. I’m talking about straight up selfish. When the person can’t bear to not get what they want when they want it. Yeah, no thanks.
