So...I just joined to try something new. I've been in DC for 20 years, so that's about as close to being native as you can get without actually being native.
It's pretty simple. I love my family, and I love my friends. My circle is somewhat small, so I'm more dependent upon conversation than texting. I admit to being an introvert, but I love having a sense of humor that makes people laugh.
I work really hard at my job, which is in community development. I fled a for-profit industry for a not-for-profit a few years ago, and as much as I complain about long hours and weekends in the office, I wouldn't turn back.
I'll be honest up front on the use of dating sites. Obviously I'm on one, but I consider this to be more legitimate than others. There are a couple of apps that are very popular tools to hookup. If you're a user of one or all, please pass by continue your browsing. I realize it sounds judgmental, but I'm not looking for random hookups or guys who spend their time in that space. I'm in a different place and am looking to establish serious relationships, whether they be friendships or more.
