I'm an LA boy who spent eons away. Past home bases were in Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Tel Aviv and I spent a few good years backpacking around the world - even had a little adventure as an instructor in a foreign air force for three years. Came back to LA for biz school at UCLA then found employ as an Excel jockey in Century City. That gig lasted 8 hours as I had bigger plans. I moved back to Tel Aviv and started doing little real estate deals in Thailand. Even signed a contract in a go-go bar once. Property, not nuptial.
I came back to LA in 2006, reconnected with my family and friends and for the first time really started enjoying this city for all it has to offer. Never connected with LA on a spiritual level, but it's a good base for fun and for accomplishing any dream. Unless your dream is to be somewhere else. Then not so much.
I started volunteering as a big brother once back in LA, and really got into flying and into the pilot community. I was lucky enough in this crazy economy to find a fantastic job that funds my 'lifestyle' and flight training. Score.
So I'm on here because I want a nuance of what we all want. I'm attracted to intelligence, class, strength, follow-through, a sense of adventure, a balanced connection to family, straight forward communication and someone who appreciates my depth, humor and attention.
About my humanity...I'm proud of myself but also very demanding of myself (read, "What's next mister?"), I'm handsome but not gahhhhh, I own my own home but am not a bazillionaire. I look better in real life than in pictures (sucks for online dating), I'm cultured and I treat my partner like a princess. I enjoy doing manly stuff, e.g. I can fix stuff in the house, I'm a trained fighter (but I'm a lover), I can ride a horse, I can tend bar and cook, I enjoy taking the garbage out and creating a warm vibe in the house. I love my dogs and on principle feed them before I feed myself.
Whew. Wrote so much.
Nice to meet you.

PS - Here's some stuff I'd like to do with you more than "dinner/drinks", if you don't mind. Any art event, the Bowl, some of the million events I get by email, picnics at the mountain trails, horseback riding, beach days, driving up the coast, flying, bar tending classes, catch a show in Vegas, paddle board, whitewater rafting, cooking classes, fast car drives at Willow Springs, scotch or wine bars, six pack of beer and head to the beach (or the shooting range), aquarium, bonfire pit on the beach, bike or blade at the beach, build something together, go up to the wine country.
