I've been in Seattle for 3 years now. I have an great group of friends out here which I'm very thankful for. This city/area has so much to offer. I'm a big fan of city life, but I love to get away from it from time to time. Hiking/camping has become a hobby of mine. It's hard to beat a group of friends sitting around a campfire sharing good conversation, wine/beer and lots of laughs. I would definitely like to find somebody who wouldn't mind being outdoors and 'roughing it' every once in a while.
I'm originally from Nebraska. After college, I played basketball overseas for several years and have settled in Seattle. Recently finished a degree in 3D animation. It's nice to finally have a life again and not be tied down with both work and school.
I think you can tell a little about someone from a profile or emails, but obviously you can find out so much more when you meet face to face and see what's there or what develops. Whether that be a friendship, something more or less...who knows, but I think it's fun getting out of my comfort zone, meeting new people and trying to figure it out.
