Not sure this is the best place to find "love" but it's 2013 so why not, right?!
Been in Boston for 7 years now and killing it at my career but finding love has been a pickle (don't hate me for saying pickle). I've been on dates and for the most part have easily gotten along with people quickly but I feel like I'm supposed to feel "that feeling"...which I haven't yet. What I am feeling is, I'm too young and fun to settle, so Match, here I am.
I'm looking for a man that is confident but not overly so, can make me laugh, has a love for adventure and travel, would be ok running at my pace with me around the city, will encourage my guitar playing and perhaps join along, comes from a good family, is supportive, respectful and doesn't cry when the Celtics or Sox lose a big game. I need someone who can communicate and not play games. I don't care what your profession is so long as you enjoy it, make a decent living and are happy and proud of yourself and what you've accomplished thus far.
I come from a great family in CT, on the smaller side but the tightest you'll find. I can honestly say I know what's going on in all of their lives (dad and mom became big texters lately and recently discovered face time haha). Parents have been together since they were teenagers and have been married 35 years and I idolize the bond between my brother and his new fabulous wife. I have great examples in my life of happy relationships. I want someone I can't live without. PS. I realize life isn't actually a Nicholas Sparks novel.
My childhood memories range from dad creating our own homemade slip'n slide, riding bikes everywhere, eating taffy at the end of the town docks with friends, vacationing on Lake Winni - trying to be a wakeboarder like my cool big brother, a love of sledding and throwing snowballs at my dog and a very popular night time neighborhood game called Relievio. I also did gymnastics for 16 years, played lacrosse and was a diver. Life's been good, better than good, great.
Things that make me smile include simple pleasures like listening to Pandora while cooking raspberry pancakes, a night in my hometown with my family outback playing music by the fire and drinking a couple beers, how my dad is always playing Take Five when I walk in the door for Christmas, landing my own column in the largest weekly commercial real estate newspaper in the country, meeting up with friends to try a new restaurant in the city, going to shows (LOVE live music), catching up with my best friend from home whose been in my life since second grade, cuddling up on the couch with a glass of wine and a movie I've already seen 10 times, the day when my Coastal Living Magazine arrives. I also love to snowboard. The simple things are what count in life I think.
My favorite life adventure has been living in Australia where I also backpacked New Zealand. My all time favorite place is Byron Bay, best vibe in the world. On my travels I was able to whitewater raft down a 7 meter waterfall, walk the botanical gardens, go wine tasting, swim in the hot springs, visit Frodo's house, surf, abseil the Blue Mountains, scuba dive, sand surf and plenty other amazing things.
Overall, I'm a confident business woman yet a total goofball (ever ridden the shopping cart all the way down the aisle?) One of my favorite quotes/lyrics is "Thrills are cheap and love divine."
