I would say overall I'm a pretty laid back guy, or maybe like 80% laid back and 20% go get 'em....maybe it's 75/25...or maybe it's 70/20 and 10% indecisive...regardless, I digress.
I thought I'd give this a shot because I'd like to meet someone and maybe turn it into something serious.
My job, you ask? I work as a fire investigator for a large insurance company, which is my dream job. The interesting part of is that I'm able to travel all over the country determining where a fire started and how it started (e.g. if it was due to arson, if it was an electrical fire, if it was accidental, etc.). It's not a typical job because it's different every day and you see true life and death situations, which you don't get sitting at a desk. The only bad thing is that I have to cut back on the humor when I'm talking to people on a fire scene. For some reason they don't appreciate humor after their house has burned down...go figure.
About twice a week, I also volunteer as a firefighter. There can be downtime at the firehouse, so I'm also usually the station cook. That can be challenging because I'm cooking for a big group of people and they can be surprisingly picky (Joel "doesn't like broccoli" and Tim "doesn't like salmonella"...you just can't win sometimes...). I can get away with cooking a vegetarian meal once and a while, as long as I don't admit there's no meat. :)
As far as my character, I'd say I am extremely loyal to my family and friends. There isn't much I wouldn't do for them. Most importantly I'm a man of my word. If I say I'm going to do something....I'm going to do it. The time for excuses and procrastination has passed.
